INDIANA

Indiana carries a significant motorsport legacy as the home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which has hosted the Indianapolis 500 since 1911, making it the longest-running major motorsport event in the world. The state also contains the Indiana Dunes National Park along the southern shore of Lake Michigan, a surprisingly varied landscape of coastal dunes, wetlands, and forest that sits within an hour of downtown Chicago, and the well-preserved 19th century architecture of Madison along the Ohio River.
