PUERTO RICO

Puerto Rico is an island territory of the United States in the northeastern Caribbean, situated between the Dominican Republic and the United States Virgin Islands. It has been under American jurisdiction since 1898 following the Spanish-American War and remains an unincorporated territory, meaning its roughly 3.2 million residents are United States citizens but cannot vote in presidential elections.
