VIETNAM

Vietnam is a long, narrow country running along the eastern edge of the Indochina Peninsula, bordered by China to the north and Laos and Cambodia to the west, with an extensive coastline along the South China Sea. It was divided into North and South Vietnam following the 1954 Geneva Accords and reunified in 1976 following the end of the Vietnam War, a conflict that reshaped the country’s political structure and left a significant mark on its demographic and physical landscape.
