Germany is a large country in Central Europe bordered by Denmark, Poland, Czechia, Austria, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands, with coastline along the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. It was divided into two separate states, West Germany and East Germany, following World War II and reunified in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and is currently the largest economy in Europe and the fourth largest in the world, built substantially on its manufacturing, engineering, and export sectors.
