BULGARIA

Bulgaria is a country in southeastern Europe on the Black Sea coast, bordered by Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Greece, and Turkey. It is one of the oldest states in Europe, established in 681 CE, and was the birthplace of the Cyrillic alphabet, developed in the 9th century by the disciples of Saints Cyril and Methodius and now used as the writing system for dozens of languages across Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
