TAJIKISTAN

Tajikistan is the smallest country in Central Asia by area, bordered by Afghanistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. It is the most mountainous country in the region, with more than 90 percent of its territory covered by mountains, including the Pamir range, often called the “Roof of the World,” which contains some of the highest peaks outside of the Himalayas and Karakoram.
