TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS

The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory in the Lucayan Archipelago, situated southeast of the Bahamas and north of Hispaniola. The territory consists of two island groups: the Caicos Islands to the west and the smaller Turks Islands to the east, separated by the Columbus Passage, a deep-water channel historically significant to transatlantic navigation.
