MAURITIUS

Mauritius is a small island nation in the southwestern Indian Ocean, located roughly 2,000 kilometers off the southeastern coast of Africa. It has no indigenous population; its current population descends primarily from African, Indian, Chinese, and European settlers who arrived after the island was colonized by the Dutch in the 17th century.
