LITHUANIA

Lithuania is the largest and most populous of the three Baltic states, bordered by Latvia, Belarus, Poland, and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, with a short coastline along the Baltic Sea. It was the last country in Europe to officially adopt Christianity, doing so in 1387, and was the center of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, one of the largest states in medieval Europe, which at its peak in the 15th century stretched from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea.
