CZECHIA

Czechia, also known as the Czech Republic, is a landlocked country in Central Europe bordered by Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Poland. It was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire until 1918 and subsequently formed Czechoslovakia with Slovakia before the two countries separated peacefully in 1993 in what is commonly referred to as the Velvet Divorce. Its capital, Prague, contains one of the largest and best-preserved medieval city centers in Europe and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.
