CABO VERDE

Cabo Verde is an archipelago of ten volcanic islands in the central Atlantic Ocean, situated roughly 570 kilometers off the west coast of Senegal. It had no indigenous population before Portuguese settlement in the 15th century, and its culture reflects a distinct blend of African and Portuguese influences that developed in isolation over several centuries.
