SAINT KITTS & NEVIS

Saint Kitts and Nevis is a two-island federation in the Leeward Islands and the smallest sovereign state in the Western Hemisphere by both area and population. Saint Kitts was the first Caribbean island to be colonized by the British, in 1623, and subsequently became the first British sugar colony in the region, a history reflected in the numerous plantation-era estates still standing across the island.
