Earlier this month, Dave and I had the wonderful opportunity to meet up with friends and hang out in Denver and Boulder for a couple of days. It’s been a few years since I’ve been to the area, and I was getting a little antsy here in Florida…so this was super exciting! Here are a few highlights from just our first day wandering around Denver:

We started the day with a stop at JINYA Ramen Bar, where I got a spicy chicken ramen, Dave built his own ramen bowl, and we also got gyoza and jalepeno corn.

Also at JINYA, we tried the sake flight featuring a regular sake, hibiscus sake, and other flavors made locally.

We then headed over to Larimer Square, which had colorful Pride flags strung across it.

It started raining during our wander, so we stopped in to Corridor 44 at Larimer Square to wait it out and try a champagne flight.

Annie Oakley—part of a much larger mural painted on the ceiling and walls of the Kettle Arcade at Larimer Square.

A closer view of the sculpture…I found it both cool and a little scary

We finished the night at Colorado Sake Co., which was recommended by server at JINYA.
