ANGOLA

Angola is a large country on Africa’s southwestern Atlantic coast, bordered by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, and Namibia. It was a Portuguese colony for roughly five centuries and contains significant pre-colonial history, including the Kingdom of Kongo, which at its peak extended across parts of present-day Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Republic of the Congo.
