A Note About Visa Runs

Exit and quick re-entry of one of these countries is NOT advised, even if there is no set rule against it. Frequent “visa runs’ raise concerns from immigration officials about your intentions. Do NOT make “visa runs” a habit and limit the amount of times you do this in a certain country. It could have long-term visitor ramifications.

Importantly, many countries, such as Mexico and the United Kingdom, have been cracking down on visa runs and denying re-entry. Ultimately, re-entry approval is up to the border officer and passport control. They have the discretion to deny you entry and even ban entry into the country for a period of time.
